New Student/Postdoc Travel Award Named after Retiring Managing Director, Joan Oefner

Retiring Managing Director, Joan Oefner
ICIS Student/Postdoc Members submitting abstracts to Cytokines 2025 are eligible to apply for travel awards to cover part of their travel expenses. Application is through the online abstract submission form (coming soon) and must be submitted by the Abstract Submission Deadline. These awards are provided through generous grants from Industry Sponsors as well as ICIS member donors and are based on the scientific merit of the abstract as well as need based.
One applicant will be awarded the Joan Oefner Travel Award, a new initiative named in honor of our retiring Managing Director. Joan’s dedication has fueled ICIS’s growth, and this award will continue her legacy by supporting future leaders in our field. We invite you to join us in seeding this effort by contributing to the ICIS Travel Awards Fund, every year one of the ICIS Student/Postdoc Member travel award applicants will be chosen to receive this award. Contributions may be tax deductible—please consult your tax advisor for details.
