ICIS Student/Postdoc Member Travel Awards

ICIS Student/Postdoc Members who are first authors of submitting abstracts may apply for travel awards to cover part of their travel expenses, or abstract awards to cover the virtual registration fees for those participating virtually. The ICIS Awards Committee will choose the top ranking 50-60 Student/Postdoc Member applicants, must be 1st author of the abstract. These awards are sponsored by generous gift from the Milstein Family, Vilcek Foundation and ICIS Member donors and are based on the scientific merit of the abstract as well as to insure diversity of participation to include underfunded labs. Students and post-docs from labs funded by NIH R01 or equivalent awards may not be eligible for need-based funding.

Please renew or join the ICIS (student/postdoc membership) prior to applying for an ICIS Student/Postdoc Member Travel Awards. $60 for a three year Student/Postdoc membership, also includes discounted registration to the meeting.

Application is through the online abstract submission form, deadline to apply is the same as the Abstract Deadline, 9 May, 2022, by 05:00 Hawaiian Standard Time.

NEW!!!! ILC4 Student/Postdoc Travel Awards

9 May, 2022 is the deadline for students and postdocs who may or may not be ICIS members, to apply for ILC4  Student/Postdoc Travel Awards. Up to 30 travel grants will be awarded to the top ranking student/postdoc 1st author abstract presentations for ILC4 abstract topics, sponsored by a grant from Sandler Asthma Basic Research Center (SABRE Center) at UCSF, USA. SUBMISSION IS THROUGH THE ONLINE ABSTRACT FORM. Qualifying Students & Postdocs may apply for both ICIS Student/Postdoc Member Travel Awards (if they are members) and ILC4 Student/Postdoc Travel Awards (membership not required). Awards are merit or need based, they are not guaranteed, nor will more than one award be granted per individual. 

 

PfizerICIS-Pfizer Junior Investigator Award Winners for Most Promising Research Presentations at the Cytokines Annual Meeting

ICIS Student/Postdoc Member presenters at the Cytokines 2022 & ILC 2022 Joint Hybrid Meeting are also eligible for the ICIS-Pfizer Junior Investigator Awards. Up to four (4) trainees with the highest scoring abstracts as per the scientific review committee, will be awarded $1,250 each and will be invited to give an oral presentation or lightning talk at Cytokines 2022 Hybrid Joint ILC4 Meeting, recognized as an ICIS- Pfizer Junior Investigator Awards Presentation, in the most appropriate session based on topic. Application process:

  • The application is submitted through this questionnaire.
  • Deadline to submit is the same as the abstract submission deadline.
  • ICIS membership must be current to be eligible for an ICIS Student/Postdoc Member Travel / Abstract Award and the ICIS Trainee Award.
    • The ICIS-Milstein Student/Postdoc Member Travel / Abstract Award DOES NOT include registration fees
    • The ICIS-Pfizer Junior Investigator Award Applications are ranked based on scientific excellence, abstract ranking and are merit awards that DO NOT include travel or registration fees

Qualifying Student/Postdoc members applying for a ICIS-Milstein Student/Postdoc Travel / Abstract Award will also be considered for an ICIS-Pfizer Junior Investigator Award, but will not be awarded more than one award in a given year.

The ICIS-Pfizer Junior Investigator Trainee Award Winners will also be considered for future ICIS sponsored symposia to showcase their award winning work.
