Dr. Ekaterina Koltsova is an Associate Professor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Her laboratory interested to uncover immune-mediated mechanisms implicated to various immune-mediated pathologies such as atherosclerosis, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), obesity and cancer. We try to understand how distinct cytokines locally and systemically shape inflammatory environments during disease pathogenesis. The main research directions in the lab include: 1)Role of cytokine signaling in the regulation of microbiota in cardiovascular diseases; 2)Role of cytokines in the control of hematopoietic stem cell metabolism and function in cardiovascular diseases; 3) Cytokines in the control of anti-cancer immune responses on liver and colon cancers.

While serving on nomination committee, Dr Koltsova will be a strong proponent for a diverse, vibrant, and exciting research community at ICIS.
