OVERVIEW:
The strength of the International Cytokines & Interferon Society (ICIS) lies in the dedication of those who generously contribute their time and expertise as volunteers. Each year the members of ICIS are asked to elect members of the governing council and nominations committee. These important positions determine the goals and direction of the Society and oversee its affairs and activities.
The open positions this year are:
- One (1) President-Elect (an officer of the corporation)
- One (1) Treasurer (an officer of the corporation)
- One (1) Council Member for Inclusion and Training
- One (1) Nominations Committee Member
All Members in good standing are eligible to vote in elections of the Society, to hold Society Office, Council or Committee membership. The call for nominations was announced in the Signals+ newsletter on March 19, 2025. It ran again on April 2 and April 16.
The Nominations Committee received 1 nomination each for the officer positions and nominations committee. Two nominations were received for Councilor for Inclusion & Training. The committee also solicited additional nominees for the officer roles, but none committed to run. Ultimately the nominations committee unanimously agreed that each of the candidates are qualified, and the committee is pleased to present the following nominees for 2025. Theses nominations have been affirmed by the Council.
