Moderna Genomics is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Sr. Research Associate to contribute to a new and rapidly growing program focused on advancing novel nucleic acid-based therapies.  The Sr. Research Associate will be part of the in vivo pharmacology team supporting our novel drug modality and development by conducting preclinical testing in rats and mice. The successful candidate should have a strong background and understanding of in vivo pharmacology in rats/mice and ex vivo analysis of biological samples.  Applicants should be collaborative team members, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Independently execute in vivo studies involving intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous delivery of nucleic acid-based therapies in rats and mice
Perform in vivo imaging
Perform necropsies and blood draws
Process ex-vivo samples
Implement quantitative assays (such as ELISA, Luminex, MSD, bDNA, qPCR, Western blot etc).
Collaborate with internal teams to advance novel nucleic acid-based therapeutics
Deliver reproducible and impactful results under ambitious timelines
Analyze, interpret, and present data
Faithfully document scientific work
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

BS/BA with significant experience in animal handling (rat, mouse) and execution of in vivo studies; industry experience a plus. Title commensurate with experience
Experience with standard programs for data analysis and visualization
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, scientific versatility, flexibility, results-oriented
Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills; ability to collaborate across multiple teams is essential
Preferred: experience with surgical rodent models
