A position as a Research Track Assistant or Associate Professor is available to study molecular aspects of IL-17 receptor signal transduction in the laboratory of Dr. Sarah Gaffen, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh (https://www.dept-med.pitt.edu/rheum/faculty_info.aspx/Gaffen5713). Candidate should have a Ph.D. or equivalent with at least 5 years postdoctoral experience in immunology, molecular biology or biochemistry. Experience with mammalian cell culture, recombinant DNA technology and mouse models of disease is essential, and experience in performing sophisticated analysis of mRNA is preferred. Candidate must be able to plan and perform experiments in an independent manner, and have experience in supervising students and technical staff. Candidate will be responsible for writing papers, protocols and lab reports associated with this project.
